There are many ways to get involved with Clissold Park User Group, whether you want to raise an issue, volunteer in the park, join a litter pick or contribute your time and skills.
You don’t need to be a member of CPUG to take part. Everyone is welcome.
Attend meetings
CPUG’s public meetings are one of the main ways for park users to raise concerns, ask questions and contribute ideas about Clissold Park.
Meetings are held in the New River Room at Clissold House at 11am and are open to everyone. You can suggest items for the agenda and take part in discussions about issues affecting the park. Clissold Park User Group

Volunteer
Volunteers help CPUG and Hackney Council with practical work around Clissold Park.
Activities can include:
- Litter picking
- Mulching
- Pruning and planting
- Habitat building
- Stewarding events
- Helping with CPUG events and activities
- Fundraising
Opportunities vary depending on the time of year and work taking place in the park. Clissold Park User Group
CPUG can also provide volunteering opportunities for people taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme and Hackney Council’s Corporate Volunteering Programme. Clissold Park User Group

Litter picks
CPUG organises a monthly litter pick in Clissold Park, usually on the last Saturday of the month.
Everyone is welcome and equipment is provided. You don’t need to register or have previous experience.
Current litter-pick dates and meeting points are advertised on the CPUG website, newsletter and social media.

Other ways to help
Getting involved doesn’t have to mean making a regular commitment. You can also help CPUG by:
- Raising an issue or suggesting an idea at a public meeting
- Helping at an event
- Sharing skills or expertise that could help with a park project
- Becoming a CPUG representative for an area of park life
- Helping with fundraising
- Taking part in consultations about the future of the park
- Joining CPUG activities and volunteering sessions
- Keeping in touch with park issues through our newsletter
